A monotube heating element consists of two wound wires positioned side by side inside a steel tube and insulated with magnesium oxide (MgO). The OIM filling machine for monotube heating elements is engineered to handle this structure, efficiently filling tubes that have one closed end and an open end where two or more terminal pins are inserted.
The concrete advantages that make the difference

New-patented 3-tube system for MgO flow control, which allows for greater filling speeds. The system is fitted with a mechanical closing/opening device that allows higher MgO flow rates and keeps it from flowing, once closed.

The electromechanical vibration system, delivers stable and symmetrical oscillations across all vibration frequencies and operators can easily set different vibration levels. During filling, a travelling vibrator moves from the bottom to the top of the tube, ensuring uniform MgO compaction. After filling, the machine can keep the upper section of the heating element vibrating to further improve powder compaction in that area.

An encoder monitors the vibrator group’s position, stopping the carriage at a precise point when the tubes reach the bottom. This prevents the pins from colliding with the lower bar and allows the use of special plugs, such as pull-type plugs.

Different vibration frequencies can be achieved by adjusting the motor speed. The traveling vibrator moves from the bottom to the top of the tube during the filling process.
