Oakley Industrial Machinery’s electrical annealing system for heating elements provides an efficient and cost-effective solution for the heat treatment of heating elements. The system uses an intuitive process in which components are manually loaded and low-voltage current is delivered through electrodes connected to a certified single-phase transformer.
Clamping electrodes allow for quick changes in diameter, while the manual handling of components accommodates heating elements of varying lengths, making the system highly flexible for small-scale production. Although residual moisture removal requires a separate dehydration cycle, OIM’s electrical annealing system remains an optimal solution for cost-conscious manufacturers.
The concrete advantages that make the difference

Sensors track the annealing process to ensure consistent heat treatment.

System stops automatically when the target temperature is reached, improving safety and efficiency.

Clamping electrodes enable quick and simple setup for different heating element diameters.

TWO PNEUMATIC CYLINDERS DRIVING THE ELECTRODE HOLDERS
are mounted on a slide to allow adjustment of the distance between axes from 80 to 140 mm.
TWO ELECTRODE HOLDERS DESIGNED FOR COOLING THE HEATING ELEMENTS BY WATER SPRAY
connected to the transformer by low-impedance cables of appropriate cross-section, and also designed for water-circulation cooling.
ELECTRICAL CABINET INCLUDING
Controls to set electrode closing. Controls to set time in cycles (Hz) and the percentage of current used for the heat treatment. Pyrometer with temperature sensor, control unit, and display. This temperature control system is unaffected by variations in tube material or tube wall thickness. The preset temperature can be changed quickly via the operator interface, and the machine allows the operator to program the preset temperature in Celsius or Fahrenheit.
HEAVY-DUTY STEEL FRAMEWORK AND SHEET METAL CONSTRUCTION WITH MACHINE-FINISHED SURFACES
DEVICE TO COOL THE HEATING ELEMENT
by water jets once the current cycle is complete. The water used to cool the elements is the same water used for cooling the cables and transformer. After being sprayed onto the element, the water is collected and drained.
