Oakley Industrial Machinery’s automatic cutting-from-coil line is engineered for high-volume heating elements production, providing a fully automated solution for cutting tubes from coil with remarkable speed and precision.
This advanced system processes stainless steel tube coils through multiple integrated units, including decoiling, calibrating, and straightening sections equipped with hyperbolic rolls to ensure flawless tube alignment before cutting.
At the core of the system is a high-performance cutting unit, available with either a score-and-pull-apart mechanism, saw-cutting configuration or a guillotine cutting system. Once the operator sets the feed rate, batch size, and tube cutting length via the control interface, the line operates autonomously—guaranteeing continuous, efficient production.
The concrete advantages that make the difference

Designed for continuous operation and large production batches.

Set parameters once and let the system handle the entire cycle.

On-the-fly cutting ensures fast, precise tube processing for heating element manufacturing.

DOUBLE UNWINDING REEL
can hold two hose reels, preventing the machine from stopping when changing reels, thus maintaining continuous operation.
CALIBRATION SYSTEM
The machine is supplied complete with two calibration heads. The rollers are idle and must be replaced for each different pipe diameter being cut. However, it is recommended to purchase the entire calibration unit, complete with roller support base and rollers, to speed up setup times. Otherwise, the rollers and guide bushings must be replaced with each diameter change.
OPERATOR PANEL
The operator console features a touchscreen display where you can program the length of the tube to be cut, the number of pieces to be cut, and the line speed.
UNLOADING HOPPER
PIPE ADVANCE SYSTEM (CATERPILLAR)
The device consists of two rubber belts that pull the pipe. The upper belt can be raised (opened) or lowered (closed) by means of a pneumatic cylinder. The pressure exerted by the cylinder can be adjusted to suit the diameter and thickness of the pipe. Normally, only the upper belt is motorized, but the lower belt can also be motorized upon request.
RECTIFIER
Hyperbolic roller rotary straightener.
FLYING CUTTING SYSTEM
In this device, the cutting unit is integrated into a mobile carriage with a controlled axis.

The orbital score-and-pull-apart system is engineered to address the limitations of similar orbital cutting methods that rely on engraving wheels. This process employs either a rotary blade cutter or insert-style cutting technology to gradually score the tube, thinning a circular section of its wall. Once sufficiently weakened, a clamp separates the tube cleanly. The result is a chipless, burr-free cut with perfectly smooth edges and no deformation.
The saw-cutting system uses a high-resistance circular blade that spins at high speed to deliver fast, clean cuts. This technology can handle various tube thicknesses and materials while maintaining precise 90-degree cutting accuracy. In addition, the sturdy construction and cutting method increase the tool’s lifespan, providing long-lasting durability and dependable performance.
Guillotine cutting lines are engineered to produce tubes in customized lengths, with the internal diameter precisely calibrated at both ends. These systems are typically chosen for medium- to high-volume production, as they allow fast changeovers between cutting diameters. After cutting, a punching step removes the “heart-shaped” deformation created by the process. This punching can be carried out manually using a handheld tool or automatically through a transfer system positioned after the cutting station.
