The Oakley Industrial Machinery’s crop machine is designed to cut heating elements to exact predetermined lengths. The crop machine is entirely pneumatic and uses an air over oil system to develop the power necessary for cutting through elements.
Equipped with a durable round cutoff blade and removable trays for cut ends, this crop machine for heating elements ensures clean, burr-free cuts and minimal deformation, which is very important forheating elements production. Its 3–4 second cycle time allows production rates from 300 to 900 pieces per hour, with even higher rates for shorter elements.

Our single end crop machine uses a durable round blade to perform precise cutting action on heating elements. When one section of the blade becomes worn, it can be easily rotated to a fresh cutting surface, giving the crop machine an exceptionally long service life. The blade cleanly slices through the tubular sheath, magnesium oxide, and terminal pin, producing a flat, smooth face with minimal burr—typically not affecting the heating element’s performance.
Designed specifically as a crop machine for heating elements, this system cuts one end of the element at a time with high accuracy and repeatability. The machine uses four-sided blocks to securely clamp each element while the blade shears it off against the block surface. Changing to a new diameter is simple—operators just rotate the blocks to the appropriate side, allowing quick setup and efficient production.
Oakley Industrial Machinery also offers a double end crop machine for heating elements production, which centers the element and crops both of its ends at the same time. Elements are manually loaded and unloaded, while the machine automatically centers them to ensure equal material is cut from each end, maintaining the correct pin length inside each element.It can be used by any element manufacturer who wants to maximize their element cutting operation.
